Five Years of Marraige, Five Months Old, Rice Cereal, and Brandon's First Father's Day

Brandon and I celebrated our five year anniversary on June 19th. We enjoyed a nice dinner out while our good friends Jen and Jody Sanders watched Lauren Margaret at our house. I love you, Brandon...thanks for being you and for loving us the way you do!

LM with Jen and Jody

Saturday was LM's five month birthday...how fast she is growing. We started out the day with some rice cereal...she seemed to like it (video below). I felt like I was feeding a toddler with her sitting there so grown up like. Then, she headed out for a walk with her Daddy on the Katy Trail and to the Apple Store. We then enjoyed breakfast at Cafe Brazil with the Sanders before they headed back to Ft. Worth.

LM is really on the move these days...rolling over, scooting on her back, army crawling (on her knees), jumping in her jumperoo and playing like crazy with all her toys. She is also sitting up pretty darn well these days. Not sure when this happened...just all of a sudden she's doing it! She is talking so much now, too...of course we have no idea what she's saying or thinking for that matter, but she seems so happy and really intent on telling us whatever it is she's trying to say.
We also enjoyed celebrating Brandon's first Father's Day this weekend. We headed to the lake on Saturday afternoon. We enjoyed a nice dinner (just the three of us) and watched the sun set on the pretty lake. LM had fun helping Brandon opening all his Father's Day goodies, too...she loves the tissue paper! We spent the night in Denison and headed out for LM's first boat outting on Sunday. She just loved it...the wind in her hair (HA! She doesn't have any hair)....we look forward to heading back up there next weekend and on the 4th of July with family. Happy Father's Day to our dads (David and Jim)...we love you...and Happy Father's Day to all you Daddy friends!!
Driving with Daddy...this is fun!

Congratulations. I can't believe it's already been 5 years. LM deserves the crown!
