365 days later...

We have a one year old! I can't even believe how fast this year has flown by. I can remember looking at her when she was itty bitty trying to imagine what her little personality would be like. Now, here she is...a toddler with her own little fun personality, huge smile, and clever little mind. We are having so much fun watching her grow and change each and everyday. I wonder what the next year will hold? I can harldly wait to find out! Fun facts about Miss Lauren Margaret
-She is now RUNNING...that's right, full sprint mode!
-Getting her four front teeth on top
-Likes to tell you what a cow, dog, pig, and duck say (making animal sounds)
-Is a little dancing queen...bounces, raises the roof, and does the twist...
-Nods yes for things she likes (I think we all know what will be next...)
-Loves hugging her baby dolls and putting them in the baby bed with a blanket on top
-Enjoys riding her little bike around the block
-Likes bringing us things she finds
-Enjoys looking at all her board books...she will sit there forever looking at all of them or will bring one up to you, turn around and start backing up so you can pick her up, and likes sitting in your lap while you read the story she has selected
-Has cute little curls in the back (YES! Finally getting hair)
-Tries to imitate words we say...I guess we better be careful??
-Tries to get in the dog's food/water at least once a day
-Found the plunger (which is now in the closet)
and a lot of other stuff that keeps me on my toes each and every day!



So, for her big birthday week...well, it started out a little slow as she got RSV. Ironic that she'd get that (one of the worst childhood viruses) after a full year of complete health...not even one fever before this! She made up for it b/c she felt pretty crummy for a few days, so we camped out at home, snuggled a lot, and took it easy. By the end of the week, she had more pep in her step, so we decided "the show must go on". We celebrated her first birthday with a big bash at the house. The weather couldn't have been more perfect for her big celebration! We had family that came from near and far to celebrate with our little sweetie. Here's a recap of the birthday week: Birthday party, family bday dinner at Kirby's, Dallas World Aquarium, Dallas Zoo, and her actual bday with Mommy and Daddy, 1/20. It was a fun week celebrating this little life and Lauren Margaret seemed to enjoy each moment of it! I know we did!!
