Halloween:
We attended our neighborhood Halloween carnival with all our neighbors and their kiddos. It was really fun... complete with train rides, a bounce house, and all sorts of fun games.
Yee-haw, lil' cowgirl!
Riding off into the sunset!
Brandon and I left a little early to go to the World Series game with Dan and Marcela...althougth we didn't win that night...or the title for that matter, it was a lot of fun and a once in a lifetime kind of thing!
Thanksgiving:
Thanksgiving was a tough holiday for us...Right before Thanksgiving we lost Grandmother Georgia (Brandon's grandmother). After spending Thanksgiving with my family in Houston, we headed to Tulsa and then on to Kansas for the funeral. What a special person Georgia was. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to know her the last 10 years. She loved Lauren Margaret as she did all her family. We are blessed to have had so much time with her. She will be missed but will never be forgotten.
Here are a few pictures from Houston...didn't pick my camera up a whole lot that week...was just a hard time...glad I was able to get a few of LM and Pops since he had just come home from being in the hospital 3 months.
Gibby gave LM her first taste of coffee milk...she loved it!
LM with my good friend, Courtney...aka Aunt Coco
Christmas:
Brandon and I took Avery and Lauren Margaret to the Ice exhibit at The Gaylord. What an experience that was...long lines and a million people, but it was all worth it for the five minutes we actually spent in the exhibit. Most of the excitement was in the line...the two of us chasing the two of them in the huge blue coats...what a memory! It was a lot of fun! Avery spent the night making it LM's first official slumber party. The girls had hot chocolate and watched a movie and slept all night!
Before heading to Tulsa for Christmas, we had a "family" dinner in Dallas with the Underwoods. The girls toasted with their sparkling grape juice and had a great time exchanging gifts!
We headed to Oklahoma to spend Christmas with The Lees. I'm so glad we were able to be there this year. Carrie and Adrian were home, so that made it even more special. We were missing Grandmother, but she was right there with us everywhere we turned, and I enjoyed remembering all the fun times we had together. Daddy Jim and Nana really made this a special Christmas for LM...she had such a wonderful time with them!
Here are some pictures from the week:
Now, for those of you who know my mother in law, you know how much she LOVES Christmas...so here are all 11 of her trees this year...yup, that's 11...that's no typo. This year she added a new tree...Lauren Margaret's very own tree, and I must say, it is my new favorite.

After Christmas we flew to Houston for New Year's. Brandon and I enjoyed a night out with my college friends. We had a great dinner at Brennan's downtown and then stayed up just late enough to ring in the new year...my how things have changed. Can't seem to put my finger on the pictures we took...so more to come later!
HAPPY NEW YEAR...a few months late!
