A Very Merry Christmas!

We had a joyous Christmas season with our little Lauren Margaret! There's just something about having a child in the house for Christmas...adds so much magic to the season, don't you think? The weekend before Christmas, we celebrated with Nana and Daddy Jim here in Dallas. We headed out to The Gaylord Texan for dinner and sight seeing. It was a lot of fun and Lauren Margaret loved seeing all the lights, people, and decorations. Gammy, Daddy Smilie, and Nanny joined us for dinner. What a fun evening with family!

Sunday before Christmas we headed to Houston for the week. It was nice having so much family together at Gammy and Granddaddy's house for Lauren Margaret's first Christmas. She was such a little trouper all week...she played, went on outings with us, slept like a champ...was just her happy little self! We ended up letting her stay a few extra days in Houston while Brandon and I drove back to Dallas. It was our first time to leave her, and surprisingly it was a lot easier than I had thought it would be! We had fun going out to dinner and getting things done around the house...at a leisurely pace....key word "leisurely". LM came home Wednesday just in time for New Year's. We enjoyed going to a Post Christmas BBQ at The Zahodnik's and then rang in the New Year at The Underwood's house. As we welcome 2010 we reflect on this past year and the many blessings it brought us. It was such a memorable year for us...we hope you have enjoyed following us this past year watching Lauren Margaret grow! We wish you much health, happiness, peace, and prosperity in the new year!
