She's Here!

We are pleased to announce that our little angel, Lauren Margaret, was born January 20th at 5:47 pm. She weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. and was 19 3/4 inches long. We are back at home today (Saturday) and will post more later once we catch up on some sleep :) The first few days were like a dream...we were in such a daze, but are coming back into reality and getting some sleep. Lauren Margaret is eating and sleeping so well and loves looking at all her family and friends with her big blue eyes.

At four days old her favorite things to do are as follows:

- Eating...she came out ready to eat and hasn't stopped :) We are so thankful this is going so well. She actually showed weight gain the day we were leaving the hospital and her pediatrician, Dr. Neely, was quite impressed...what can I say...she must be gifted and talented already!
- Sleeping...she sleeps just right at 3 hours at a time and likes to coo and rub her face when she's hungry...seriously has barely cried - yes, we know this won't always be the case but we sure are loving it now!!
-Being held by loved ones...she seems to love to be held and enjoys opening her eyes and looking and listening to people talk to her
-Looking cute...well, okay, maybe not but when we had her all dressed up in her coming home outfit she looked like she was smiling and posing for the pics...like she knew she was cute...it was so funny!

Thank you for all your thoughts, prayers, and sweet messages! The delivery went so well...I couldn't even believe how great I felt the whole time and continue to feel. I'm just taking it easy and enjoying having my mom here. Brandon has been such a great Daddy and husband and is taking good care of Mommy and Baby as well. It was great seeing so many of you at the hospital and we look forward to introducing LM to more of you very soon!!
