Firsts

With having a newborn there are lots of "firsts" going on around our house. Here are some from the past week:

Lauren Margaret found her little hand while Granmommy (Laura) was holding her on Thursday (2/5/09). She was just holding her arm out and looking at it. Then, she put her hand on Granmommy's mouth and just looked at it...got the camera a little too late, but you get the idea...

Daddy gave Lauren Margaret her first bottle Friday night (2/6/09) and just as suspected, she took it right away. (Anything involving eating has been one of her favorite things to do, so the bottle was a success!) The doctor suggested we give her one bottle a day just to ensure she will take a bottle in the future. This will be something special Daddy can do with his little girl each evening since Mommy feeds her throughout the rest of the day.


LM enjoyed playing on her new rainforest mat (2/6/09). She seems to enjoy the music and colors. There are lots of fun things to play with, listen to, and look at on and around the mat! CLICK HERE TO SEE A CUTE VIDEO.

This video only confirms our theory that Lauren Margaret's first words will not be Mama or DaDa like most babies...rather they will more likely be, "NO LUCY." After watching the video, we think you will agree :)
